Berwick mother Michelle Jankovic knows all about the dead ends faced by carers of children with additional needs.
Ms Jankovic, whose son Bailey has cerebral palsy, set up a one-stop website called Helping Hand Is Here – a list of relevant schools, support, services and weekly news.
She said it was often a hard, time consuming search to find information on disability support and services.
“I understand how many hours are spent on the phone, searching for help, programs, funding, equipment and support,: she said.
“A lot of stress followed by a lot of dead-ends results in wasted time.”
The website also has a forum page and tales of carers, including Ms Jankovic’s.
