Tuesday night Basketball Victoria and Casey Basketball opened the doors to individuals wanting to try Wheelchair Basketball. There was great excitement in the air as people strapped themselves into purpose built basketball wheelchairs.
It wasn’t as easy as it looks I overheard someone yell out. Watching on, with direction from Basketball Victoria, they began to play a game after some training.
My son Bailey along with his good friend Campbell who currently play basketball wheelchair competitions, enjoyed displaying some of their skills and encouraging the younger children.

Casey Stadium is newly built and has fantastic facilities
Wheelchair basketball is great way to socialise and interact with other individuals who may have medical challenges. Able bodied players are also welcome and often family members make up teams so they can all do an activity together.
If you would like to play, no experience needed, register now.
